Daytime highs through the winter are in the 40's; nighttime lows in the 20's for Walton Pond. Chisel Branch Campground is a delightful campground nearby; why not take a refreshing hike along the Meadow Trail. A lovely lake like Tippecanoe Lake next to       Walton Pond is a wonderful location to explore; as expected Broad Run is a beautiful stream that is worth stopping at. Potomac River is a magnificent whitewater spot in close proximity to Walton Pond; do take a hike on the Potomac Heritage Trail. If only every spot had this much outdoors cool stuff, what a great world it would be.
