If you came to camp Holiday Mobile Estates is a tremendous spot to do that; since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop at close by Bunks Pond. There are some nice whitewater spots on Jones Falls, and if you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Chartwell Golf & Country Club is in the neighborhood. Wagners Pond gets lots of water; most of the rain falls all through May, and the driest month is February. This is a great neighborhood

| | for people who like lakes. Wagners Pond is a lake around here, and Greenbelt Park is a glorious national park. This lake is so wonderful. Wagners Pond is not far at all from Baltimore-Towson, and if you come at the right time of year, Gwynns Falls offers some wonderful whitewater. Kampground is a fine place for that, and a good nearby hotel is Hampton Inn Baltimore/Glen Burnie. Summertime highs at Wagners Pond frequently tend to be in the 80's. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's commonly in the 60's.
During the winter highs are in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Wagners Pond. There are swamps here too; Glen Burnie Bog is nearby, and after a long day outdoors Days Inn Glen Burnie is a brilliant spot
to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. Bells Cove is in close proximity and always nice to stop at, and some nearby water includes Ferndale Branch.

Burba Lake
 | 1 PHOTO ...ke, located on the Ft. Meade army post is a beautiful nature preserve with picnic facilities for large and small groups. A well-maintained path runs around the entire lake where you can normally find soldiers, retirees and their families out for a stroll or a leisurely run. We can all thank the tightening of security due to terrorism for making the lake's having less access. You must have proper ID (Government/Military issued ID) to enter the post, unless it is pre-arranged such as for family reunions and such. The Ft. Meade MWR people take good care of the lake and it's surroundings and nature teems. You will normally find ducks and geese swimming in the lake, some have made it their home. Migratory birds also have put this lake on their itinerary! There is fishing in the lake and also a healthy turtle population. Beavers also have taken up residence in one area and by some of the ''missing'' trees you can tell that they have been there.  | 18 miles away I live near Scotts Cove and have never seen a camp ground there. This is a reservoir.? Nor is there skiing at this location.? It is a beautiful area for locals to picnic at and take a walk.... |

 | 20 miles away Regular camping fees at this time (06/08) are $16/night. I have been camping at Greenbelt Park every summer for a week for the last 7 years. It was always at $14 up till last year when it went up to $16. Great Park though! Love it!... |
