    Do stop by Susquehanna River Reservoir while you're in this part of Maryland. You simply must adore Susquehanna River Reservoir. A tour to Amos Falls will fill your spirit with perfect feelings, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Octoraro Creek. If you need a location to stay Residence Inn by Marriott Aberdeen is a great choice. While you're here at Susquehanna River Reservoir you have to explore Hopkins Cove,  
   and The Pines Campground is a wonderful local campground.
This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Courtyard Aberdeen, and Basin Run is one of the streams nearby that might be worth a visit. Susquehanna River Reservoir is not far at all from Lancaster, and if you come at the right time of year, Conowingo Creek offers some delightful whitewater. Not far from Susquehanna River Reservoir, you'll find Octoraro Lakes which is a beautiful lake, and Sleepy
 
               Hollow is without doubt a great location to take a look at.
Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always take a look at nearby Conowingo Reservoir, and the peak of Cromleys Mountain can be seen from Susquehanna River Reservoir. Throughout the summer months here at Susquehanna River Reservoir, high temperatures frequently reach the 80's with overnight lows in the 60's. For the period of the wintertime highs are commonly in the 30's with temperatures at Susquehanna River Reservoir dipping down into the 20's through winter nights. From a rain point of view Susquehanna River Reservoir is a pretty typical place; the month of July is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest of the months is February.
This lake is so wonderful. Conowingo Dam is not far at all from Susquehanna River Reservoir, and if you came for an overnight stay Ramblewood Campgrounds is a good place to camp.

Not at all deep, wide and shallow, nice parking but if you get to the very end where Octoraro Creek meets the Susquehanna it can get pretty nasty. Good place to train beginers but if they go out too far you may never see them again. Somedays the current at the mouth gets to be too much unless you have a rider picking you up downstream a couple miles....
