Susquehanna River Reservoir gets a normal amount of yearly rain; the month of July is the wettest with most of the rain; February is the month with the least moisture. Don't forget to take a wonderful little visit to Basin Run, and Ramblewood Campgrounds is a wonderful campground nearby. If you come at the right time of year, Conowingo Creek offers some brilliant whitewater, and you can stay the       night at The Pines Campground. Cromleys Mountain is clearly visible from Susquehanna River Reservoir, and taking a little tour to close by Hopkins Cove is a good idea. This lake is so wonderful. Amos Falls is always fun to check out; a pleasant site to stop at nearby is Sleepy Hollow. This lake is so wonderful. Do have a look at Conowingo Reservoir near Susquehanna River Reservoir, it's a charming lake, and if you need a location to stay Residence Inn                  by Marriott Aberdeen is a good choice. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Octoraro Creek, and after a long day outdoors Courtyard Aberdeen is a great location to spend a night or two. But wait, there's more to do near Susquehanna River Reservoir. Susquehanna River Reservoir is not far at all from Lancaster; there's some out of the ordinary stuff to distinguish at Conowingo Dam close to Susquehanna River Reservoir. At Susquehanna River Reservoir during the summertime highs are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 60's.
