Snowden Pond is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. Summertime at Snowden Pond arrives with high temperatures in the 80's while night lows are frequently in the 60's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 40's; through the dark hours in the wintertime at Snowden Pond temperatures fall to the 20's. If you came for an overnight stay Scotts Cove Campground is a fine spot to camp; why not stop by Cash Creek Dam since you're here.

This lake is so wonderful. There's good hiking along the White Horse Trail, and Laurel Knights Inn is
a good site to get some rest. Get your heart pumping on the fine whitewater of Patuxent River, and there are swamps here too, Island Marshes is in the vicinity. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Western Ridge Trail; needless
to say, all our national parks are great locations to pop by and Greenbelt Park is no exception.
That right there is heaps already, but it carries on; Snowden Pond has it all. A golf course near Snowden Pond is Bowie Golf & Country Club, and Holiday Mobile Estates is a splendid local campground.
