All the water falling down from the sky makes Savage River Reservoir a wet spot; the wettest month of the year is ordinarily July, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month of the year is February. There's so much to do here at Savage River Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Deep Creek Lake State Park is a pleasant spot for that, and obviously Big Run flows       through this neighborhood. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Savage River Reservoir, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 30's, and after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Savage River Reservoir plunge into the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Crabtree Creek, and you don’t                  have to go far from Savage River Reservoir to catch a glimpse of the water at Savage River Dam. A lake close by is Jennings Randolph Lake, and dry warm beds await you at Wisp Resort. You're sure to bump into some nice people from Cumberland here. And if that's not sufficient, there's heaps more to do in the neighborhood of Savage River Reservoir. Really good skiing awaits you at Wisp. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Savage River Reservoir has to offer, you can camp at New Germany State Park.
