Summertime highs at Savage River Reservoir typically tend to be in the 80's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's while Savage River Reservoir nighttime low temperatures through the winter are in the 10's. All the water falling down from the sky makes Savage River Reservoir a wet spot; the month with most of the rain is July while       February is generally the driest month. There are some great whitewater spots on Savage River, and naturally, this is a great neighborhood for people who like lakes, New Germany Lake is a lake nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Comfort Inn Grantsville is a glorious location to get some rest, and why not camp at New Germany State Park while you're here at Savage River Reservoir. After a long day outdoors Wisp Resort is a perfect location to spend a night                  or two, and Savage River Dam is not far at all from Savage River Reservoir. So much exciting stuff to do here at Savage River Reservoir, too splendid to be true. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by Wisp, and Deep Creek Lake State Park is a glorious local campground. This lake is so wonderful. Visit Big Run since you're here at Savage River Reservoir, and there's whitewater on Crabtree Creek for all you adrenaline people. Nearby lakes?
