Lake Ruth gets a typical amount of annual rain; the month with most of the rain is August; February is when it's the driest. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this location. Throughout the summer highs here at Lake Ruth reach the 80's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 70's. For the period of the winter the highs are frequently in the 40's, and after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Lake Ruth sink into the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. Do pay a visit to Fort Washington Park since you're here at                  Lake Ruth, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Hidden Spring Trail. Take a hike on the West Trail; you can run the rapids of Anacostia River - Northwest Branch. After a long day outdoors Comfort Suites Waldorf is a tremendous location to spend a night or two, and if you're here you can play some golf at Robin Dale Golf Club. Looking for something near Lake Ruth? Clinton Regional Park Lake is around here; during your journey here you'll meet some people from Washington-Arlington-Alexandria for sure. This lake is so wonderful. The Panhandle Trail offers hiking at its best.
