It's always fun to stop by Lake Ruth. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Lake Ruth; Panhandle Trail is a great local trail, and a lake close by is Post Office Lake. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Lake Ruth, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 70's. During the winter this place gets highs in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Lake Ruth. Why not take a refreshing hike along the West Trail,

Any time is a great time at Lake Ruth if you go for the outdoors. The Hidden Spring Trail offers hiking at its best; Comfort Suites Waldorf is a great spot to get some rest. All our national parks are fine places to pop by, and Fort Washington Park is no exception, and Cedarville State Park is a brilliant local campground. Butler Branch is a magnificent local stream; a round of golf at nearby Robin Dale Golf Club is a perfect way to kill some time. Whitewater
paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Anacostia River - Northwest Branch. Lake Ruth is a magnificent location to visit for more than one day, Harmony Place Trailer Park is a magnificent location to camp
nearby, unsurprisingly you could also go to Wakefield Lake if you're here; it's not far at all.
This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, Anacostia River offers some great whitewater; after a long day outdoors La Quinta Inn Waldorf is a pleasant spot to spend a night or two.
