Go to Lake Royer if you want to go to a nice lake. Looking for some flowing water? Try Devils Run, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Hunting Creek. So much exciting stuff to do at Lake Royer, so little time. Edgemont Reservoir is a nearby lake that you could pop by, and if you need a place to stay Days Inn Waynesboro is a perfect choice. At Lake Royer you always meet someone from Chambersburg.

| | you're in luck because South Mountain Golf Course is nearby, and you can go for a hike on the Spiderbush Nature Trail. If you came for an overnight stay Mountain Farm Campground is a perfect site to camp, and there's perfect hiking along the Cunningham Falls Nature Trail. What would a site like Lake Royer be without exciting close by marks like Clermont Crag; why not camp at William Houck Campground while you're here at Lake Royer.

if you don’t go skiing at Ski Liberty since you're here, and tremendous hiking is available along the High Rock Nature Trail. This lake is so wonderful. A visit to Catoctin Mountain Park is worthwhile, also Lower Lake Royer Dam is
worth checking out since you're here. Lake Royer is a good place of normal precipitation; May is when you get the most rain here while February is mostly the driest month.
This place rocks, just look at all the enjoyable things
to do close to Lake Royer. Quirauk Mountain can be distinguished from Lake Royer; do put some time aside to spend at Glen Afton Spring if you're here at Lake Royer. A wonderful close by hotel is Thurmont Super 8 Motel, and float down
the rapids of Antietam Creek - East Branch in a kayak. For the period of the summer at Lake Royer temperatures are typically in the 80's, and the overnight is a little chillier of course, frequently in the 60's. High temperatures
during the wintertime are normally in the 30's, and through the dark hours in the winter at Lake Royer temperatures plunge to the 10's.
