All the water falling down from the sky makes Rocky Gorge Reservoir a wet site; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain, and January meanwhile is the driest month. There is a wonderful hiking trail
in the neighborhood of Rocky Gorge Reservoir called the Valley Trail; Scotts Cove Campground is a good campground nearby. Going for a hike on the Western Ridge Trail is always a nice adventure; Walker Branch is one of the streams
nearby that might be worth visiting.
