Potomac River Reservoir is a nice lake to visit. Take a side trip to Downey Branch. While you're here at Potomac River Reservoir you can take a hike along the Loudoun Heights Trail; Whitings Neck is close by and always fine to take a look at. This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Mc Mahon's Mill Rec Area is always a magnificent experience, and at Potomac River Dam Number Four close to Potomac River Reservoir there are some exciting things to see. Going for

just come on down to Potomac River Reservoir. Potomac River Reservoir is a spot with many visitors from Hagerstown-Martinsburg; in case you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Antietam Creek.
Comfort Inn Shepherdstown is a perfect spot to get some rest; a round of golf at nearby Woodbrier Golf Course is a magnificent way to kill some time. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is good on Antietam Creek, and on
a wonderful day you can take a hike along the Appalachian National Scenic Trail. High temperatures at Potomac River Reservoir throughout the summertime months are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 60's. All
through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's while Potomac River Reservoir nighttime low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 10's.
