Do stop by Post Office Lake while you're in this part of Maryland. During the warm days of summer at Post Office Lake temperatures are generally in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 70's. Highs during the wintertime are commonly in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Post Office Lake are in the 20's. | | There's so much to do here at Post Office Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Aqua Land Campgrounds is a tremendous place for that, and Post Office Lake is right by the West Trail. Get drenched paddling on Anacostia River, and you can have a delightful hiking adventure along the South Trail. The annual rain here at Post Office Lake is about average; throughout August this area sees the most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. | |

This lake is so wonderful. If you're stopping by Post Office Lake from Washington-Arlington-Alexandria, you won't be the only one; drift down the rapids of Four Mile Run in a kayak. You'll need more than a day to look at everything
Post Office Lake has to offer, you can camp at Cedarville State Park, and if you get bored of Post Office Lake you could also go to nearby Wakefield Lake. So much amusing stuff right next door to Post Office Lake, definitely mind-blowing.
If you're here at Post Office Lake and you like golf, you can explore Robin Dale Golf Club, and Post Office Lake is not the only place nearby, Saint Pauls Lake is a nearby lake. This lake is so wonderful. A good nearby hotel is Courtyard Waldorf, and if you have the time, Fort Washington Park is a national park worth going to.
