If you're here at Pine Lake, you could visit Bel Pre Creek; a magnificent location to camp here at Pine Lake is Scotts Cove Campground. Don't you try to stop me, cause I'm havin' a good time here at Pine Lake. There are brilliant sites to look at along the Western Ridge Trail, and Greenbelt Park is one of the destinations that are great to stop by nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Do       go to Big Millpond close to Pine Lake, it's a scenic lake; you're sure to run into some friendly folks from Washington-Arlington-Alexandria here. There's whitewater on Rock Creek for all you adrenaline kick people, and after a long day outdoors Crowne Plaza Hotel WASHINGTON DC-SILVER SPRING is a good spot to spend a night or two. Going for a hike on the White Horse Trail is always a great adventure; Pine Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at,                  Cherry Hill Park is a great local campground. Pine Lake gets a normal amount of annual rainfall; May is when you get the most rain here, and February on the other hand is the driest. Go for a hike on the Valley Trail, and why not take a look at Wheaton Regional Park Dam while you're here. A striking lake like Pine Lake close to Pine Lake is a perfect spot to visit, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Anacostia River - Northwest Branch. Now, you may imagine that's plenty but there's even more exciting stuff to do here at Pine Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Pine Lake. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 60's.
