Throughout the months of summer at Pine Lake temperatures are commonly in the 80's with overnight lows in the 60's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 40's, and nighttime lows through the wintertime for Pine Lake tend to be in the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. A good close by hotel is Holiday Inn WASHINGTON DC-SILVER SPRING,       and there are nice places to discover along the Valley Trail. A trip to Greenbelt Park is recommended, and if you came for an overnight stay Cherry Hill Park is a perfect place to camp. After a long day outdoors Crowne Plaza Hotel WASHINGTON DC-SILVER SPRING is a good place to spend a night or two; going for a hike on the Western Ridge Trail is always a nice adventure. This place, Pine Lake, it clearly has so much outdoors entertaining stuff. This lake is so                  wonderful. Anacostia River - Northwest Branch is a nice whitewater spot near Pine Lake, and a quick spree to Bel Pre Creek is definitely a great idea. Near Pine Lake you stumble on the White Horse Trail which is a good hiking trail, and if you're visiting from Washington-Arlington-Alexandria, you won't be the only one. An average amount of rain falls at Pine Lake; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month of the year is February. Yeah, come here to Pine Lake for a perfect time. Golf Course Register is a golf course in the vicinity of Pine Lake, and Scotts Cove Campground is a great campground nearby.
