What a nice lake Northampton Lake is. This lake is so wonderful. There's good hiking along the Loop Trail, and there are some magnificent whitewater spots on Anacostia River. There's whitewater on Anacostia River - Northwest Branch for all you adrenaline people; the Panhandle Trail offers hiking at its best. Don't leave Northampton Lake without first going for a hike along the Magnolia Trail, and Northampton Lake Dam is a charming place, positively worth checking

At Northampton Lake throughout the warmest time of the year highs are in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 60's. All through the wintertime the highs are mostly in the 40's; overnight lows in the 20's for Northampton Lake. If you're stopping by Northampton Lake from Washington-Arlington-Alexandria, you won't be the only one; a quick trip to Bald Hill Branch is beyond doubt a great idea. This lake is so wonderful. Northampton Lake is a wet site that gets lots of rainfall; of
all the months in a year May is the one with the most rain, and the driest of the months is January. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the entertaining things at Northampton Lake. Northampton Lake is a magnificent place
to visit for more than one day, Cherry Hill Park is a magnificent place to camp nearby, and do pay a visit to Greenbelt Park if you're here at Northampton Lake.
Duncan's Family Campground is a perfect campground nearby, and Radisson Hotel Largo-Washington DC is a wonderful location to get some rest.
