After a long day outdoors Courtyard by Marriott Salisbury is a delightful place to spend a night or two, and Asherwood Swamp is a swamp in close proximity to Newhope Pond. If you came to camp Treasure Beach Campground is a pleasant place to do that, and a visit to Assateague Island National Seashore is worthwhile. A great deal of rainfall falls at Newhope Pond; most of the rain falls through August;       February is when it's the driest. Getting to Asherwood Branch from Newhope Pond is uncomplicated. There's so much to do here at Newhope Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Fort whaley Campground is a great location for that. This lake is so wonderful. A splendid nearby hotel is Sleep Inn Salisbury, and Deer Run Golf Club is a golf course close by. Just can't get enough of Newhope Pond. You'll meet a lot of people from Ocean Pines here; a trip to                  Beaver Hole is always a fine idea. Through the days of summer highs here at Newhope Pond reach the 80's. Summer night lows descend down to the 60's.
