Why not go to New Germany State Park Dam while you're here, and if you've had enough of New Germany Lake, Meadow Run Lake is nearby. This lake is so wonderful. New Germany Lake frequently gets a great deal of rain; the month of July is the wettest with most of the rain, and February is when it's the driest. But wait, there's more to do near New Germany Lake. New Germany Lake is a site with many visitors from Cumberland; camping at New Germany State Park is always

After a long day outdoors Days Inn And Suites Frostburg is a pleasant site to spend a night or two, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Casselman River. This lake is so wonderful. Turkey Lodge Hill is a peak you can spot from New Germany Lake, and a good site to camp here at New Germany Lake is Mason Dixon Campground. Get covered with water paddling on Savage River, and Wisp is a very popular ski area around here.

Grantsville is a great place to get some rest, and you're most likely addicted to lakes, Lake Heritage is one of those close by. Summer at New Germany Lake comes with high temperatures in the 80's, and through the night it cools down
to the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at New Germany Lake.
