There is a nice hiking trail in close proximity to Mountain Lake called the Blackbird Knob Trail, and Comfort Inn At Deep Creek Lake is a great place to get some rest. Not far from Mountain Lake, you'll discover Little Yok Number 2 Reservoir which is a striking lake, and Bittinger Hill is clearly visible from Mountain Lake. This lake is so wonderful. no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Wisp. Summertime highs at Mountain Lake generally tend to be in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 50's. During the wintertime highs are regularly in the
30's, and night lows through the winter for Mountain Lake tend to be in the 10's. Mountain Lake is a pretty wet place regularly with a lot of rainfall; the month with most of the rain is July, and February is the month with the
least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. The Boundary Trail is a pleasant hiking trail near Mountain Lake; you can hit the slopes at Canaan Valley around here. Broadford Mountain Lake Dam has fine water scenery and it's next to
Mountain Lake, and a good site to camp here at Mountain Lake is Deep Creek Lake State Park. And that's not all you can do here at Mountain Lake. If you don't mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Deep Creek, and let's not forget Broad Ford Run which is a stream that you may run into during your stay.
