If you like skiing, you're in luck; Ski Liberty is next to Middletown Reservoir. For the period of the summer at Middletown Reservoir temperatures are mostly in the 80's while overnight lows are frequently in the 60's.       Daytime highs throughout the winter are in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Middletown Reservoir are in the 10's. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Catoctin Creek, and going for a hike along the High Rock Nature Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region. There's whitewater on Middle creek for all you adrenaline rush seekers, and dry warm beds await you at Comfort Inn Frederick. While                  you're here at Middletown Reservoir you can play some golf at Hollow Creek Golf Club, and camping at Gambrill State Park is always a great experience. This lake is so wonderful. Have a magnificent hiking adventure along the Cunningham Falls Nature Trail; a journey to Catoctin Mountain Park is recommended. A normal amount of rain falls here at Middletown Reservoir; May is when you get the most rain here; the driest of the months is January. Yep, outdoors cool stuff to do are in fact abundant here at Middletown Reservoir.
