There's so much to do here at Lone Pond that you need to camp here for a while, North Beach Campground is a perfect spot for that. Lakes? Sure, Blue Pond is in the neighborhood. Assateague Island National Seashore is one of the destinations in the neighborhood of Lone Pond that are glorious to go to, and a splendid swamp       next to Lone Pond is Jims Gut. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors cool things the area next to Lone Pond has to offer. Hiking along the Ragged Point Trail is tremendous fun, and Fox Hill Point is relatively close. This lake is so wonderful. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always check out nearby Peters Pond. Lone Pond is a wet site that gets much rainfall; most of the rain falls through August, and April meanwhile is the                  driest month. Blue Heron Inn at the Beach Entrance is a good place to get some rest, and if you came to camp Bayside Campground is a good place to do that. Throughout the summertime months here at Lone Pond, high temperatures commonly get into the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's, and night lows in the 20's for Lone Pond. This lake is so wonderful.
