Greenbelt Park is a very good spot to check out in the vicinity of Lake Ruth, and if you need a place to stay Comfort Inn Conference Center is a delightful choice. This lake is so wonderful. Enjoy a round of golf at Renditions Golf Course not far from Lake Ruth. There's so much to do here at Lake Ruth that you need to camp here for a while, Millersville Koa Kampground is a nice location for that, and obviously Anne Green Spring Branch is a lovely stream that

| | is worth visiting. Get your heart beating on the delightful whitewater of Little Patuxent River; if you came to camp Duncan's Family Campground is a great spot to do that. Here at Lake Ruth there are plenty of people from Baltimore-Towson, and you're probably into lakes, Hundley Pond is one of those nearby. This lake is so wonderful. fun stuff near Lake Ruth, just mind-boggling. You can run the rapids of Gwynns Falls in close proximity to Lake Ruth, and Lake of the Pines Dam is a stunning spot, positively worth going to. Summertime at Lake Ruth comes with
high temperatures in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 60's. Highs through the winter are frequently in the 40's, and overnight lows in the 20's for Lake Ruth. Lake Ruth gets a normal amount of rain; through the month of May you get the most rain around here, and February meanwhile is the driest month.

Burba Lake
 | 1 PHOTO ...rve with picnic facilities for large and small groups. A well-maintained path runs around the entire lake where you can normally find soldiers, retirees and their families out for a stroll or a leisurely run. We can all thank the tightening of security due to terrorism for making the lake's having less access. You must have proper ID (Government/Military issued ID) to enter the post, unless it is pre-arranged such as for family reunions and such. The Ft. Meade MWR people take good care of the lake and it's surroundings and nature teems. You will normally find ducks and geese swimming in the lake, some have made it their home. Migratory birds also have put this lake on their itinerary! There is fishing in the lake and also a healthy turtle population. Beavers also have taken up residence in one area and by some of the ''missing'' trees you can tell that they have been there. There is also a resident blue heron that can often be found on the shore of the lake or amongst the greenery on the little island in the middle.  | 16 miles away Regular camping fees at this time (06/08) are $16/night. I have been camping at Greenbelt Park every summer for a week for the last 7 years. It was always at $14 up till last year when it went up to $16. Great Park though! Love it!... |
Greenbelt Lake
 | 17 miles away I often take my kids to the park at Greenbelt Lake. The playground is very big and they have a ton of fun. There are things there suitable for all kids ages. We also go around the lake, me running and them riding thier bikes. the trail and lake are beautiful and shaded - which is wonderful during the hot days in the summer.... |
Scotts Cove Campground
 | 19 miles away I live near Scotts Cove and have never seen a camp ground there. This is a reservoir.? Nor is there skiing at this location.? It is a beautiful area for locals to picnic at and take a walk.... |
