All through the summer months, highs regularly are in the 80's at Lake Royer. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 60's. is a fine idea, and get your heart pumping on the great whitewater of Antietam Creek - East Branch. Here at Lake Royer there are plenty of people from Chambersburg.
Glen Afton Spring is a tremendous local attraction; do take a
hike on the High Rock Nature Trail. You don’t have to go far from Lake Royer to see the water at Lower Lake Royer Dam, and you can have a tremendous hiking adventure along the Cunningham Falls Nature Trail. There's so much to do here
at Lake Royer that you need to camp here for a while, Mountain Farm Campground is a nice site for that, and dry warm beds await you at Days Inn Waynesboro.
This lake is so wonderful. The best way to spend a winter day is on the
slopes of nearby Ski Liberty, and Lake Royer is right by the Spiderbush Nature Trail. This lake is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Lake Royer has to offer, you can camp at William Houck Campground,
and a good place for whitewater paddling is Hunting Creek. The amount of precipitation that falls at Lake Royer is close to the national average; the month with most of the rain is May, and February meanwhile is the driest month.
