This lake is so wonderful. Not far from Lake Placid, you'll stumble on Lake Nirvana which is a scenic lake, and after a long day outdoors Towneplace Suites By Marriott Gaithersburg is a nice location to spend a night or two. While you're here at Lake Placid you can take a hike along the Meadow Trail, and a perfect nearby hotel is Oakwood Gaithersburg. Here at Lake Placid you'll most likely meet some people from Washington-Arlington-Alexandria.       There are some perfect whitewater spots on Little Seneca Creek, and going for a hike along the Paw Paw Passage Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area. From a rain point of view Lake Placid is a rather common place; May is the wettest month with most rain, and February meanwhile is the driest month. During the long summer days at Lake Placid temperatures are frequently in the 80's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 60's. Daytime highs                  through the wintertime are in the 30's with temperatures at Lake Placid dipping down into the 20's during winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. Near Lake Placid you stumble on a golf course called Laytonsville Golf Course, and Lake Placid is a perfect location to visit for more than one day, Valley Mill Camp is a perfect location to camp nearby. At Lake Placid Dam in the neighborhood of Lake Placid there are some attention-grabbing things to see, and there are other locations here than Lake Placid, for example Inspiration Lake. Stay the night at Christopher Run Campground, and if the weather is pleasant, you can go for a hike along the Potomac Heritage Trail. What a location this is for outdoors people.
