Crow's Nest Campground is a magnificent campground nearby, and not far from Lake Merle you'll come across Lake Marian which is a picturesque lake. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Ski Liberty while you're here; New Hope Valley Campground is a nice local campground. This lake is so wonderful. There is a tremendous hiking trail close to Lake Merle called the High Rock Nature Trail, and Owens Creek is a great whitewater spot nearby. On a wonderful
