Drift down the rapids of Bennett Creek in a kayak; hiking along the Cunningham Falls Nature Trail is magnificent fun. At Lake Marian during the days of summer highs are in the 80's while overnight lows are usually in the 60's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's, and all through the dark hours in the wintertime at Lake Marian temperatures drop to the 10's. Lake Marian is a reasonably wet place ordinarily with a great deal of precipitation;

If you come at the right time of year, Owens Creek offers some splendid whitewater, and while you're here you can take a hike along the Spiderbush Nature Trail. You're probably hooked on lakes, Lake Anita Louise is one of those nearby, and you can have a great hiking adventure along the High Rock Nature Trail. back home again. Do stop by Haul Road Dam while you're here at Lake Marian, and if you have time to spare, Catoctin Mountain Park is a national park worth visiting. This lake is so wonderful. Lake Marian is good enough to spend more
than a day at, New Hope Valley Campground is a good local campground, and beautiful scenery and perfect skiing is what you obtain at Ski Liberty. A nice place to camp here at Lake Marian is Crow's Nest Campground. This lake is
so wonderful. Holly Hills Country Club is a wonderful golf course close by, and if you need a place to stay Frederick Travelodge is a nice choice. Hampton Inn Suites FrederickFort Detrick is a glorious place to get some rest, and perhaps you're looking for nearby lakes? Sure, Lake Merle is just a very short distance away.
