There are some magnificent whitewater spots on Fifteen Mile Creek. From a rain point of view Lake Lanahan is a relatively common location; May is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month is January. This lake is so wonderful. Near Lake Lanahan you stumble       on magnificent places like Long Hollow, and perfect hiking is available along the Big Flat Trail. Dry warm beds await you at Best Western Berkeley Springs Inn; Lake Nesbit and Lanhan is a nice lake close by. But wait, there's more to do close to Lake Lanahan. Coolfont Resort is a fine place to get some rest, and don't forget to take a tremendous little spree to Cacapon River. Here at Lake Lanahan you'll probably meet some people from Winchester; if you                  come at the right time of year, Sideling Hill Creek offers some tremendous whitewater. Don't leave Lake Lanahan without first going for a hike along the Silas Trail. There's so much to do here at Lake Lanahan that you need to camp here for a while, Cacapon Hideaway is a splendid site for that. For the duration of the days of summer at Lake Lanahan highs are generally in the 80's. Summer nighttime lows drop down to the 50's. Highs through the wintertime are ordinarily in the 30's, and nighttime lows at Lake Lanahan through the wintertime typically sink into the 10's. This lake is so wonderful.
