Go to Lake Elkhorn if you want to go to a nice lake. If you need a location to stay SpringHill Suites Columbia is a good choice, and Lake Elkhorn is a site with many visitors from Baltimore-Towson. Now, you may feel that's a lot but there's even more entertaining stuff to do here at Lake Elkhorn. A round of golf at nearby Fairway Hills Golf Club is a glorious way to kill some time, and Lake Elkhorn Dam is scenic. Don't try to stop me, cause I'm havin' a glorious time here at Lake Elkhorn. This lake is so wonderful. Lake Kittamaqundi is a delightful lake in the vicinity of Lake Elkhorn, and the Western Ridge Trail is a delightful hiking trail nearby. This lake
is so wonderful. Symphony Woods is a great local forest, and there are some splendid whitewater spots on Little Patuxent River. Sheraton Columbia Hotel is a great spot to get some rest; if the weather is delightful, you can go for
a hike along the White Horse Trail.
Lake Elkhorn is a wet place that gets a lot of rainfall; the month with most of the rain is May; the driest of the months is January. For the period of the warm months here at Lake Elkhorn,
high temperatures commonly reach the 80's while overnight lows are ordinarily in the 60's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Lake Elkhorn are in the 20's.
