Going for a hike on the Meadow Trail is always a great adventure; after a long day outdoors Fairfield Inn & Suites Germantown Gaithersburg is a nice place to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. Why not camp at New Hope Valley Campground since you're here at Lake Churchill, and there's some flowing water close by, Cabin       Branch is a stream you can have a look at while here. A lake close by is Little Seneca Lake, and whitewater paddling is magnificent on Potomac River. From a rainfall point of view Lake Churchill is a quite common place; all through the month of May you get the most rain around here, and February is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. You could also visit Clopper Lake while you're here at Lake Churchill; it's nearby, and Churchill Town Sector Dam                  is charming. Near Lake Churchill you locate the Paw Paw Passage Trail which is a good hiking trail; a round of golf at nearby Little Bennett Golf Course is a glorious way to kill some time. Paddling on Little Seneca Creek is so much fun; the views at Catoctin Mountain Park will blow your mind. Having a glorious time at Lake Churchill is trouble-free. Go for a hike on the Potomac Heritage Trail, and dry warm beds await you at Hampton Inn Germantown/Gaithersburg. During the warm days of summer here at Lake Churchill, high temperatures commonly get into the 80's while nighttime lows are commonly in the 60's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Lake Churchill.
