Stay the night at Holiday Mobile Estates, and why not take a little trip to Franklin Branch while you're here. If time allows, Greenbelt Park is a national park worth stopping at, and if you're a golfer then a delightful nearby course is Walden Golf Club. Not far from Kelly Pool, you'll come across Burba Lake which is a scenic lake, and while you're here you will meet lots of people from close by Baltimore-Towson. | | just come on down to Kelly Pool. After a long day outdoors Hampton Inn Suites Arundel Mills/Baltimore is a great place to spend a night or two, and you don’t have to go far from Kelly Pool to make out the water at Burba Lake Dam.

year are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's; overnight lows all through the wintertime for Kelly Pool tend to be in the 20's. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Patapsco
River. There's so much to do here at Kelly Pool that you need to camp here for a while, Millersville Koa Kampground is a delightful place for that.
This lake is so wonderful. There are other spots here than Kelly Pool, for example
18 Reservoir. The high level of rainfall makes Kelly Pool a reasonably wet site; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation.

... post is a beautiful nature preserve with picnic facilities for large and small groups. A well-maintained path runs around the entire lake where you can normally find soldiers, retirees and their families out for a stroll or a leisurely run. We can all thank the tightening of security due to terrorism for making the lake's having less access. You must have proper ID (Government/Military issued ID) to enter the post, unless it is pre-arranged such as for family reunions and such. The Ft. Meade MWR people take good care of the lake and it's surroundings and nature teems. You will normally find ducks and geese swimming in the lake, some have made it their home. Migratory birds also have put this lake on their itinerary! There is fishing in the lake and also a healthy turtle population. Beavers also have taken up residence in one area and by some of the ''missing'' trees you can tell that they have been there. There is also a resident blue heron that can often be found on the shore of the lake or amongst the greenery on the little island in the middle. All in all, though I'm no... |

I often take my kids to the park at Greenbelt Lake. The playground is very big and they have a ton of fun. There are things there suitable for all kids ages. We also go around the lake, me running and them riding thier bikes. the trail and lake are beautiful and shaded - which is wonderful during the hot days in the summer.... |
