Johns Hopkins Pond is a lake worth visiting. This lake is so wonderful. A magnificent close by hotel is Turf Valley Resort, and if the weather is good, you can go for a hike along the White Horse Trail. Summertime highs at Johns Hopkins Pond commonly tend to be in the 80's, and the overnight is a little colder of course, regularly in the 60's. For the duration of the winter the highs are mostly in the 30's with temperatures at Johns Hopkins Pond dipping down into

Johns Hopkins Pond generally gets a great deal of rain; the month with most of the rain is May, and the driest of the months is January. There are plenty of folks from Baltimore-Towson here at Johns Hopkins Pond, and Johns Hopkins Pond is a great place to camp, Woodbine Campground is a great place. This lake is so wonderful. A journey to Greenbelt Park is worthwhile, and you can run the rapids of Patuxent River.

flowing water nearby, Benson Branch is a stream you can visit while here; there is a good hiking trail nearby called the Valley Trail. You don’t have to go far from Johns Hopkins Pond to see the water at Johns Hopkins University Dam;
if you need a place to stay Inn at Peralynna Manor is a pleasant choice. If you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Hobbit's Glen Golf Club is around here; Patapsco River - South Branch is a delightful whitewater spot close
by.
And if that's not sufficient, there's a load more to do near Johns Hopkins Pond. Scotts Cove Campground is a perfect campground here; the Western Ridge Trail is a great hiking trail close by.
