Hiking is a popular thing to do around Hundley Pond; Left Trail is a good local trail, and Residence Inn Annapolis is a fine place to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at Millersville Koa Kampground, and beaches are delightful and Bare Neck Shore is no exception. Do explore Wayson Pond in the neighborhood of Hundley Pond, it's a pretty lake. If you need a place to stay ANNAPOLIS HILTON GARDEN INN is a great choice, and hey, Chandlers

An average amount of rainfall falls at Hundley Pond; most of the rain falls during May while February is ordinarily the driest month. That right there is a load already, but it continues; Hundley Pond has it all. A fine spot to camp here at Hundley Pond is Duncan's Family Campground, and you can go for a hike on the Magnolia Trail. A day at Wild Rose Shores near Hundley Pond is time well spent, and Renditions Golf Course is a golf course nearby. During the summertime months at Hundley Pond highs are ordinarily in
the 80's. Summer night lows sink down to the 60's. During the winter this place gets highs in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Hundley Pond. Hundley Pond is a place with many visitors from Baltimore-Towson; if you're looking for a wonderful tour, Greenbelt Park is rather near.

 | yeah, i'd like to give some input. i drove from west virginia to go to this beach, and it's more water and dock than beach. not to mention the only access is from the houses of the rich who live in the community. oh, and there's no camping nearby.... |

...lities for large and small groups. A well-maintained path runs around the entire lake where you can normally find soldiers, retirees and their families out for a stroll or a leisurely run. We can all thank the tightening of security due to terrorism for making the lake's having less access. You must have proper ID (Government/Military issued ID) to enter the post, unless it is pre-arranged such as for family reunions and such. The Ft. Meade MWR people take good care of the lake and it's surroundings and nature teems. You will normally find ducks and geese swimming in the lake, some have made it their home. Migratory birds also have put this lake on their itinerary! There is fishing in the lake and also a healthy turtle population. Beavers also have taken up residence in one area and by some of the ''missing'' trees you can tell that they have been there. There is also a resident blue heron that can often be found on the shore of the lake or amongst the greenery on the little island in the middle. Regular camping fees at this time (06/08) are $16/night. I have been camping at Greenbelt Park every summer for a week for the last 7 years. It was always at $14 up till last year when it went up to $16. Great Park though! Love it!... |

I often take my kids to the park at Greenbelt Lake. The playground is very big and they have a ton of fun. There are things there suitable for all kids ages. We also go around the lake, me running and them riding thier bikes. the trail and lake are beautiful and shaded - which is wonderful during the hot days in the summer.... |
