This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike along the Boxes Point Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area, and Letha Ponds is a nearby lake that you could visit. The high level of precipitation makes Hines Ponds a reasonably wet place; through the month of May you get the most rain around here, and the       driest month of the year is February. Summertime highs at Hines Ponds usually tend to be in the 80's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 60's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Hines Ponds. If the weather is great here at Hines Ponds, you can go for a hike along the Duck Inn Trail. This is a popular site for folks from Baltimore-Towson, and Hines Ponds is great enough to spend more than a day                  at, R J Campground is a great local campground. There's whitewater on Gunpowder Falls for all you adrenaline junkies, and if you're looking for a beach close by we recommend Gibson Island Beach. This lake is so wonderful. You might want to pay a visit to Rock Point Shoal while you're here at Hines Ponds; taking a little tour to nearby First Cove is a great idea. If you need a location to stay Comfort Inn Annapolis is a great choice, and if you get bored of Hines Ponds you could also go to nearby White Pond. You assume that's enough? Just getting warmed up.
