Lake Herrington is a nice lake to visit. The amount of precipitation that falls at Lake Herrington is close to the national average; all through July this area sees the most rain while February is generally the driest month. There's a forest here at Lake Herrington called Swallow Falls State Forest; there's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Wisp. This lake is so wonderful. Visit Glade Run while you're here at Lake Herrington; magnificent water scenery
is available at Herrington Creek Dam next to Lake Herrington. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Youghiogheny River, and after a long day outdoors Wisp Resort is a good place to spend a night or two. Lake Herrington is a brilliant
place to visit for more than one day, Swallow Falls State Park is a brilliant place to camp nearby, and going for a hike along the Boundary Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity.
This lake is so wonderful.
Stay the night at Bumble Bee Recreational Vehicle Park & Campground; there are some nice whitewater spots on Muddy Creek.
