Very glorious water scenery is available at Herrington Creek Dam near Lake Herrington, and don't forget to take a great little journey to Glade Run. Lake Herrington is a good site of typical rainfall; the wettest month of the year is typically July, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month is February. This lake is so wonderful. The skiing at Canaan Valley is great; after a long day outdoors Canaan Valley Resort       and Conf Ctr is a delightful place to spend a night or two. Through the summer at Lake Herrington highs are generally in the 80's. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's generally in the 60's. For the duration of the winter this place gets highs in the 30's, and nighttime lows all through the wintertime for Lake Herrington tend to be in the 10's. Get your heart pumping on the delightful whitewater of Muddy Creek, and Oakland Golf Club is a great golf                  course nearby. Camping at Bumble Bee Recreational Vehicle Park & Campground is always a magnificent experience, and while you're here you can take a hike along the Boundary Trail. Lake Koshare is a nearby lake that you could visit. This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Swallow Falls State Park is a wonderful place to do that, and some delightful nature is available in Swallow Falls State Forest. Life's too short to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff in close proximity to Lake Herrington. A nice close by hotel is Wisp Resort, and there's whitewater on Youghiogheny River for all you adrenaline junkies.
