If you came to camp Harmony Place Trailer Park is a good place to do that; a great nearby hotel is Holiday Inn Waldorf,Md. The Panhandle Trail offers hiking at its best, and lakes are such serene locations, why not pop by Dorchester Lake. This lake is so wonderful. There are other places here than Hampshire Lake, for example Cat Pond, and drift down the rapids of Anacostia River in a kayak. This is a popular       spot for folks from Washington-Arlington-Alexandria; there's tremendous hiking along the West Trail. At Hampshire Lake through the summer months highs are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 70's. Throughout the winter highs are generally in the 40's; during the dark hours in the winter at Hampshire Lake temperatures fall to the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. Fort Washington Park is one of the destinations in the neighborhood of Hampshire                  Lake that are wonderful to go to; if you need a site to stay SUPER 8 MOTEL - WALDORF is a delightful choice. Now, you may assume that's lots but there's even more enjoyable stuff to do here at Hampshire Lake. There's so much to do here at Hampshire Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Cedarville State Park is a tremendous location for that, and why not take a refreshing hike along the South Trail. Hampshire Lake gets a common amount of rain; August is the month that gets the most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
