you haven't yet. This lake is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Guilford Reservoir has to offer, you can camp at Timer Ridge. You don’t have to go far from Guilford Reservoir to distinguish the water
at Guilford Reservoir Dam. There's so much to do here at Guilford Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Patapsco Valley State Park is a fine location for that. If you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Clifton Park Golf Course is nearby; Jones Falls is a wonderful whitewater spot close by.

Burba Lake

A well-maintained path runs around the entire lake where you can normally find soldiers, retirees and their families out for a stroll or a leisurely run. We can all thank the tightening of security due to terrorism for making the lake's having less access. You must have proper ID (Government/Military issued ID) to enter the post, unless it is pre-arranged such as for family reunions and such. The Ft. Meade MWR people take good care of the lake and it's surroundings and nature teems. You will normally find ducks and geese swimming in the lake, some have made it their home. Migratory birds also have put this lake on their itinerary! There is fishing in the lake and also a healthy turtle population. Beavers also have taken up residence in one area and by some of the ''missing'' trees you can tell that they have been there. There is also a resident blue heron that can often be found on the shore of the lake or amongst the greenery on the little island in the middle. All in all, though I'm not a great writer...this is a wonderful and serene place that I alw... |

 | 26 miles away Regular camping fees at this time (06/08) are $16/night. I have been camping at Greenbelt Park every summer for a week for the last 7 years. It was always at $14 up till last year when it went up to $16. Great Park though! Love it!... |
