If you haven’t been to Catoctin Mountain Park, you must schedule some time for it since you're here; since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always explore close by Boonsboro Reservoir. Summer at Greenbriar Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's       while night lows are frequently in the 60's. If the weather is good here at Greenbriar Lake, you can go for a hike along the Appalachian National Scenic Trail; Gambrill State Park is a great local campground. Ski Liberty has nice slopes and a friendly staff. So much enjoyable stuff to do at Greenbriar Lake, so little time. Why                  not camp at South Mountain Campground while you're here at Greenbriar Lake. Lakes? Sure, Bond Farm Pond is in the vicinity. If you come at the right time of year, Beaver Creek offers some good whitewater, and if you need a spot to stay Hagerstown Hotel and Convention Center is a splendid choice. Going for a hike along the Snavelys Ford Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area; Greenbriar Lake is not far at all from Hagerstown-Martinsburg. This lake is so wonderful.
