Great Point Pond is a nearby lake that you could explore, and a great location to camp here at Great Pond is Chesapeake Bay-Smith Island. For the period of the months of summer highs here at Great Pond get into the 80's; the nighttime is slightly cooler of course, usually in the 60's. For the period of the winter the highs       are regularly in the 40's; through the dark hours in the winter at Great Pond temperatures drop to the 20's. You're sure to encounter some nice people from Cambridge here. This lake is so wonderful. Swamps can be such out of the ordinary places, explore Channel Point Gut since you're here at Great Pond, and a spree to close by Chaisey Point is very relaxing.
