Gibbs Pond sees pretty high levels of rainfall; most of the rain falls throughout August, and the driest month is April. This lake is so wonderful. A spree to Little Egging Beach close to Gibbs Pond is always a perfect idea, and do visit Dutch Harbor since you're here. A magnificent close by hotel       is Francis Scott Key Motel, and while you're here and you like golf, you can explore Bay Club Golf Course. If you need a spot to stay Comfort Suites Ocean City is a wonderful choice, and don't forget to visit Green Point while you're here. Now, you may feel that's a heap but there's even more fun stuff to do here at Gibbs Pond. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always go to close by Wrights Pond, and Assateague State Park is a magnificent                  campground nearby. This lake is so wonderful. A quick tour to Ayer Creek near Gibbs Pond is a glorious idea, and of course, this is a great neighborhood for folks who like lakes, Buddy Pond is a lake in the vicinity. On a glorious day at Gibbs Pond you can take a hike along the Ragged Point Trail; you'll most likely meet some folks from Ocean Pines here.
