A brilliant location to visit in the vicinity of Fishing Creek Reservoir is Oxys Hollow, and Fish Hatchery Spring is a striking place to visit while you're at Fishing Creek Reservoir. There is a tremendous hiking trail next to Fishing Creek Reservoir called the Spiderbush Nature       Trail; a fine close by hotel is Super 8 Thurmont. What a location this is for outdoors folks. You can take a little trip to Fishing Creek Dam since you're here at Fishing Creek Reservoir, and on a fine day you can take a hike along the Cunningham Falls Nature Trail. A normal amount of rainfall falls here at Fishing Creek Reservoir; during the month of May you get the most rain around here, and January is when it's the driest. A journey to Catoctin Mountain                  Park is worthwhile, and the High Rock Nature Trail is a magnificent hiking trail nearby. This lake is so wonderful. You could also take a look at Middletown Reservoir since you're here at Fishing Creek Reservoir; it's close by; camping at Ole Mink Farm Campground is always a brilliant experience. If you come at the right time of year, Middle creek offers some nice whitewater, and since you're here you can play some golf at Maryland National Golf Club. Life's too short to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff near Fishing Creek Reservoir. Hit the slopes at Ski Liberty close at hand; after a long day outdoors Comfort Inn Red Horse is a wonderful place to spend a night or two. Summertime highs at Fishing Creek Reservoir frequently tend to be in the 80's. Summer nighttime lows dip down to the 60's.
