After a long day outdoors Comfort Inn Annapolis is a good spot to spend a night or two. There's so much to do here at Elizabeth Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Millersville Koa Kampground is a nice place for that. Hit the beach if you want, Severn Beach is practically right here; whitewater paddling is good on Herring Run. This lake is so wonderful. A journey to Arnold Point right next door to Elizabeth Pond is always a splendid idea, and a pretty

| | lake like Winterberry Pond is a great place to stop at. Lots of folks from Baltimore-Towson come to Elizabeth Pond, and some of the water close by flows, like Howard Creek.
Summertime highs at Elizabeth Pond regularly tend to be in the 80's. Summer nighttime lows descend down to the 60's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 40's while Elizabeth Pond overnight low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 20's. Dry warm beds await | |

you at Village Inn, and Foster Pond is a great lake nearby. This lake is so wonderful. North Severn Beach is near Elizabeth Pond if you're in a beach type of mood, and get drenched paddling on Gwynns Falls.
Elizabeth Pond is nice
enough to spend more than a day at, Holiday Mobile Estates is a nice local campground; a round of golf at nearby Annapolis Country Club is a great way to kill some time. Now, you may imagine that's plenty but there's even more cool
stuff to do here at Elizabeth Pond. Ferry Point Yacht Club is an exciting thing to check out, and Greenbelt Park is a splendid local destination. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this place. If you're here at Elizabeth Pond,
checking out Wiona Cliffs is a must.

...my post is a beautiful nature preserve with picnic facilities for large and small groups. A well-maintained path runs around the entire lake where you can normally find soldiers, retirees and their families out for a stroll or a leisurely run. We can all thank the tightening of security due to terrorism for making the lake's having less access. You must have proper ID (Government/Military issued ID) to enter the post, unless it is pre-arranged such as for family reunions and such. The Ft. Meade MWR people take good care of the lake and it's surroundings and nature teems. You will normally find ducks and geese swimming in the lake, some have made it their home. Migratory birds also have put this lake on their itinerary! There is fishing in the lake and also a healthy turtle population. Beavers also have taken up residence in one area and by some of the ''missing'' trees you can tell that they have been there. There is also a resident blue heron that can often be found on the shore of the lake or amongst the greenery on the little island in the middle. All in all, though I'm ... |

Regular camping fees at this time (06/08) are $16/night. I have been camping at Greenbelt Park every summer for a week for the last 7 years. It was always at $14 up till last year when it went up to $16. Great Park though! Love it!... |
