Tae KWON Do Masters is a great campground nearby, and after a long day outdoors Best Western Invitation Inn is a great place to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. Some close by water includes Haha Branch, and a magnificent site for whitewater paddling is Winters Run. This lake is so wonderful. Why not explore Edgewater Village Dam while you're here, and if you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Little Gunpowder

All the water falling down from the sky makes Edgewater Village Lake a wet site; May is the wettest month with most rain; the driest month of the year is February. There are many put in and take out spots along the creek. A nice paddle is Eden Mill park down to Rocks state park. Put in by parking at Eden Mill Nature Center off of Gwan Grove rd. Take out at the parking area under the king and queen seats off 24 in rocks (by old consesion stand. Do not paddle further unless you are an accomplished paddler due to the immediate section after the take out. It is a fall line creaed shoot that drops about 35 feet over 100 yards and narrows to 1/3 original wifth. Not difficult but intimidating and surprising if not ready and has a potential pin spot below biggest drop.... |
