Super 8 Thurmont is a nice place to get some rest; you'll probably meet some folks from Chambersburg here. Why not camp at Catoctin Quaker Camp since you're here at Edgemont Reservoir, and enjoy a round of golf at Waynesboro Municipal Golf Course. Edgemont Creek is one of the streams close by that might be worth taking a look at, and you can run the rapids of Middle creek. Catoctin Mountain Park is one of the destinations near Edgemont Reservoir that are delightful to go to, and Barth Spring is always fun to check out. Be careful coming to Edgemont Reservoir, you might not ever want to return back home again.
