From a precipitation point of view Edgemont Reservoir is a relatively typical location; the month with most of the rain is May, and the driest of the months is January. This lake is so wonderful. Why not take a refreshing hike along the High Rock Nature Trail, and do visit Edgemont Reservoir, it's a beautiful lake. Don't forget to take a magnificent little trip to Edgemont       Creek, and a good nearby hotel is Thurmont Super 8 Motel. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Antietam Creek - East Branch, and the top of Buzzard Knob is easily distinguished from Edgemont Reservoir. And if that's not enough, there's a load more to do close to Edgemont Reservoir. If you're here, you might as well pop by Harman Gap, and if you're here, you could also take a look at pretty Smithsburg Reservoir. Summertime highs at Edgemont Reservoir ordinarily tend                  to be in the 80's. During the moonlight hours it's regularly in the 60's. Highs during the wintertime are ordinarily in the 30's with temperatures at Edgemont Reservoir dipping down into the 10's throughout winter nights. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Edgemont Reservoir; Spiderbush Nature Trail is a delightful local trail; Barth Spring is an inspiring location to go to while you're here. If you come at the right time of year, Middle creek offers some glorious whitewater; an attention-grabbing thing to explore close to Edgemont Reservoir is Warners Gap Hollow Dam. This lake is so wonderful. The fine people of Chambersburg like to hang out close by; Catoctin Mountain Park is a nice place close by. For you golfers we recommend close by Waynesboro Municipal Golf Course; if you came to camp Catoctin Quaker Camp is a nice site to do that. There's so much to do here at Edgemont Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Mountain Farm Campground is a wonderful place for that; hey, Gotta ski right? Ski Liberty is a delightful location to do that. This lake is so wonderful. If only every site had this much outdoors amusing stuff, what a great earth it would be.
