If you are in Garrett county it's always a good idea to stop by Cunningham Lake. After a long day outdoors Wisp Resort is a magnificent place to spend a night or two, and if you like skiing, you're in luck; Wisp is rather near. temperatures at Cunningham Lake during the summer are in the 80's while nighttime lows are generally in the 50's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 30's; during the dark hours in the winter at Cunningham Lake
temperatures sink to the 10's. Cunningham Lake is a reasonably wet place generally with a lot of rainfall; July is the month that gets the most rain, and February is the month with the least moisture.

We spent the whole day fishing CGL on 7/27/08, this was my first visit. The lake is only an average of 4 FEET DEEP! We did find an occasional 5 foot spot, but he weeds are right up to the surface making trolling very difficult. We fished the entire lake and used a fish finder thruout, we marked very little fish. We caught 2 largemouth, both around 9 inches. One on a white Houdini worm, one on a top water frog.... |
