| | you can always go whitewater paddling on Northeast Creek, and a fine place to camp here at Cow Pond is Woodlands Camping Resort. Summertime at Cow Pond comes with high temperatures in the 80's. Summer overnight lows dip down to the 60's. All through the winter the highs are commonly in the 30's, and after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Cow Pond dip into the 20's. to Cow Pond is a wonderful place to visit; while you're here you can play some golf at Brantwood Golf Club Turf. Cow Pond sees pretty high levels of rain; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain, and the driest
month of the year is February. This lake is so wonderful. Why not camp at Lums Pond State Park while you're here at Cow Pond. Dry warm beds await you at Hawthorn Newark / Elkton, and lakes are such peaceful locations, why not
pop by Elkton Reservoir. While you're here at Cow Pond you will meet lots of folks from close by Dover, and Grays Hill can be seen from Cow Pond.

Noxontown Lake
 | 12 miles away 1 PHOTO ...ork these lures all the way to the next cove on your right, then move up the lake about 200 yards, and start over again. These areas all hold large bass in the 4-8 pound category, and could come anywhere along this shore. Bass in excess of 9 pounds were caught at Noxontown in the past, which is why it received so much pressure. Very large bass still reside here, but the numbers have declined over the years. In 1999, I caught and released a 10. 1 pound largemouth from Noxontown, that was just ounces off the state record. The primary forage is panfish, white perch, and shad, but there are a good number of Golden Shiner also. This lake also produced the state record White Crappie, over 4 1/2 pounds, which can be viewed at the Tackle Box store, on the main highway, just south of the 13 and 40 split, by the Dairy Queen. They have a variety of lures and bait, and can give current lake information also.
