Cooks Pond is not far at all from Baltimore-Towson, and enjoy a round of golf at Bay Hills Golf Club. This lake is so wonderful. Glide down the rapids of Gunpowder Falls in a kayak; Gibson Island Beach is reasonably close by if you're in a beach type of mood. The amount of rainfall that falls at Cooks Pond is close to the national average; August is the wettest month with most rain; October is the month with the least moisture.       R J Campground is a good campground nearby, and dry warm beds await you at Quality Inn. Don't you try to stop me, cause I'm havin' a good time here at Cooks Pond. You could also have a look at Letha Ponds if you're here at Cooks Pond; it's close by, and Ashlar Pond is relatively close. Get dripping wet paddling on Herring Run. Millersville Koa Kampground is a good local campground; nearby you locate the Boxes Point Trail which is a pleasant hiking trail.
