Why not camp at R J Campground if you're here at Boyd Pond, and you can go for a hike on the Boxes Point Trail. Don't forget to take a brilliant little tour to Patapsco River, and Bodkin Point Shoal is without doubt a perfect place to check out. Don't leave Boyd Pond without first going for a hike along the Duck Inn Trail; Boyd Pond is not the only place close by, Letha Ponds is       a close by lake. So much enjoyable stuff to do at Boyd Pond, so little time. Hit the beach if you want, Gibson Island Beach is practically right here. Boyd Pond is a good spot of normal precipitation; August is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month is October. This lake is so wonderful. If you're going to Boyd Pond from Baltimore-Towson, you won't be the only one, needless to say you could also check out Hines Ponds if you're here; it's not                  far at all. Throughout the summertime months, highs typically are in the 80's at Boyd Pond; the night is a little colder of course, usually in the 60's. For the duration of the winter highs are generally in the 40's while Boyd Pond nighttime low temperatures through the winter are in the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. Near Boyd Pond you find a golf course called Bay Hills Golf Club, and in the event that you don't mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Herring Run. If you like swamps, you're in luck, Hines Pond Bog is right close by, and if you need a spot to stay Quality Inn is a splendid choice. Gunpowder Falls has a wonderful whitewater paddling spot close by, and while you're here, do take a tour to Ashlar Pond. Just can't get enough of Boyd Pond.
