Purnell Pond is a nearby lake that you could stop at; Assateague Island National Seashore is a fine place close by. At Boxiron Pond during the summertime highs are in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 60's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 40's; night lows at Boxiron Pond during the winter commonly descend into the 20's. This lake is so wonderful.       Dry warm beds await you at Comfort Suites Chincoteague; during your tour here you'll meet some people from Ocean Pines for sure. The high level of precipitation makes Boxiron Pond a rather wet site; during August this area sees the most rain, and November on the other hand is the driest. But wait, there's more to do in close proximity to Boxiron Pond. Boxiron Creek is a beautiful stream that is worth stopping at, and a lake close by is Blue Pond. This lake                  is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Ragged Point Trail is always a perfect adventure, and Boxiron Pond is glorious enough to spend more than a day at, Pocomoke River State Park is a glorious local campground. Camping at Pine Grove Campground is always a perfect experience, and Brockatonorton Bay is not far at all.
