Going for a hike on the Western Ridge Trail is always a good adventure, and don't miss out on a tour to Greenbelt Park since you're here. The annual precipitation here at Big Millpond is about average; the       month of May is the wettest with most of the rain; February is the month with the least moisture. During the warm months highs here at Big Millpond get into the 80's, and the overnight is slightly colder of course, ordinarily in the 60's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 40's while Big Millpond overnight low temperatures during the winter are in the 20's. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this site. At Big Millpond you always meet someone from Washington-Arlington-Alexandria.
