Cedarville State Park is a fine local campground, and if you haven’t been to Fort Washington Park, you have to schedule some time for it if you're here. The yearly rain here at Angler Lake is about average; August is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month of the year is February.

also have a look at Dorchester Lake since you're here at Angler Lake; it's close by, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Angler Lake; Panhandle Trail is a good local trail. The warmest time of the year at Angler Lake comes
with high temperatures in the 80's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 70's. For the period of the winter the highs are typically in the 40's, and overnight lows during the wintertime for Angler Lake tend
to be in the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. A wonderful nearby hotel is Holiday Inn Waldorf,Md, and Four Mile Run is a good whitewater spot close by.
