York Lake is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. There's so much to do here at York Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Lone Oak Camp Sites is a magnificent site for that, as expected you could also go to Mill Pond since you're here; it's not far at all. The Indian Trail offers hiking at its best, and a wooded neighborhood close by is Sandisfield State Forest. This lake is so wonderful. There's glorious hiking along the Wild Cat Trail,

| | and Lee Super 8 Motel is a perfect location to get some rest. Hiking is a popular thing to do around York Lake; Elbow Trail is a good local trail, and swing by Cherry Brook it's a tremendous place to visit. This lake is so wonderful. The scenery at York Lake Dam in close proximity to York Lake is lovely; the summit of Cowles Hill can be made out from York Lake. from Pittsfield. Yep, outdoors enjoyable stuff to do are beyond doubt abundant here at York Lake. Farmington River - West Branch is a fine whitewater spot in the neighborhood of York Lake; a lake close by is Windemere Lake Reservoir.
York Lake is splendid enough to spend more than a day at, Camp Overflow is a splendid local campground; skiing at Ski Butternut is one of those things you just must do. York Lake is a pretty wet place regularly with a great deal of
rain; the month with most of the rain is August, and the driest month of the year is February. You truly must like York Lake. Thousand Acre Swamp is an out of the ordinary swamp near York Lake, and great skiing awaits you at Mohawk
Mountain. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to York Lake. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 50's. All through the winter highs are in the 30's, and after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at York Lake sink into the 0's.
