Camp Overflow is a great campground nearby; let's not forget Cherry Brook which is a stream that you may come across while you're here. There is a brilliant hiking trail near York Lake called the Indian Trail, and on a beautiful day you acquire a splendid vista of Cowles Hill from York Lake. A good forest near York Lake is Sandisfield State Forest, and if you're here, you could also have a look at pretty Windemere Lake Reservoir. If only every site had this much outdoors exciting stuff, what a great earth it would be. of summer at York Lake temperatures are ordinarily in the 80's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 50's. During the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's, and during the dark hours in the wintertime at York Lake temperatures
fall to the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at York Lake you will meet lots of folks from close by Pittsfield, and on a magnificent day you can take a hike along the Elbow Trail. While you're here at York Lake
you can take a hike along the Wild Cat Trail, and dry warm beds await you at Blackberry River Inn. A swamp like Thousand Acre Swamp next to York Lake has lots of attention-grabbing things to see; the best way to spend a winter day
is on the slopes of nearby Mohawk Mountain. Glide down the rapids of Farmington River - West Branch in a kayak, and Mill Pond is a nearby lake that you could take a look at. York Lake sees pretty high levels of rain; most of the rain falls throughout August; the driest of the months is February.
