Yagar Pond is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. This lake is so wonderful. A lake close by is Guilder Pond, and don't leave Yagar Pond without first checking out Jug End. Guilder Hollow is a great place to look at, and from Yagar Pond you acquire a brilliant vista of Mount Bushnell. If you need a place to stay Egremont Inn is a great choice, and since you're here you can take a hike along the Northrop Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Days Inn is a delightful site to get some rest, and Catamount is a very popular ski area close at hand. During the summertime months at Yagar Pond temperatures are mostly in the 80's. Any time is a delightful time at Yagar Pond if you have a thing about the outdoors. You can run the rapids of Bash Bish Brook
in the neighborhood of Yagar Pond, and the best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Ski Butternut. There's so much to do here at Yagar Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Taconic State Park Copake Falls is
