If you like skiing, you're in luck; Blue Hills is close to Wrights Pond, and camping is available at Camp Cedar. Turkey Swamp is a swamp close to Wrights Pond, and if you need a place to stay Hyatt Place Boston Medford is a magnificent choice. All through the summer months highs here at Wrights Pond get into the 80's with nighttime lows in the 60's. Throughout the winter the highs are mostly in the 30's, and nighttime lows in the 10's for Wrights Pond. Brooks Brook

Wrights Pond is a wet site that gets a good deal of rain; throughout November this area sees the most rain while August is typically the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. great on Charles River. You'll meet a lot of folks from Boston-Cambridge-Quincy here, and for you golfers we recommend nearby Stoneham Oaks Golf Course. The skiing at Bradford is glorious, of course you could also go to South
Reservoir while you're here; it's not far at all. This lake is so wonderful. Paddling on Concord River is so much fun, and Boston Harbor Islands National Recreation Area is a very magnificent spot to go to. This lake is so wonderful.
Comfort Inn Woburn is a great site to get some rest; a lake nearby is Bellevue Pond. So many enjoyable things to do at Wrights Pond, so little time. The scenery at Wrights Pond Dam close to Wrights Pond is charming, and Mount Andrew
is painless to spot from Wrights Pond. Wrights Pond sits in the shade of the Middlesex Fells; you can always enjoy a lazy day on the beach at Magazine Beach.

Lake Cochichewick
 | 13 miles away Lake Cochichewick formerly known as Great Pond, is located near the inersections of rt 125 and Great Pond Road in North Andover MA. The lake is a little over 200 acres and long and narrow but widens quite a bit in the middle. The average depth near in the midde is about 40ft however the lake can reach depths of up to 60ft. The lake is a protected reservoir so fishing and boating are by town permit only. Swimming and gas moters are prohibited. Large and small mouth bass are in decent numbers as well as perch, pickerel, sunfish, also there is Northern Pike around but few have hooked up one in the summer season. Mercury level are fairly high so it is recomended to limit the consumption of fish to 1 meal a month. Most of the locals you will meet on the lake are all artificial bait, catch and release fisherman.... |
